Entering Into The Presence Of The King

"... Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus."
Hebrews 10:19 (NASB)

I do it too; I am one of the biggest offenders. Most Christians do it. With the advance of technology, like smart phones, iPods, and laptop computers, our lives were supposed to become less hectic, but it appears they have become more hectic, instead. There is just not enough time in the day. But it is the wrong thing to do. It doesn't honor the tremendous sacrifices made so that we could do it. Got your curiosity up yet?

What is it? It is forgetting where we are when we pray. I do not mean where we are as in the car, our office, or our home, but where we are transported to when we pray. We are in the throne room of Heaven. We are bringing our petitions to the highest court in the entire Universe. The very being that spoke darkness into light, the Creator Himself, is on His throne, listening to us!

Yes, we certainly take the privilege of being in His glorious, radiant, presence for granted. We disregard where we stand and we insult our King. We fail to bow down before the throne of Almighty God. We should never use our access and our standing with the King, purchased with the life blood that poured out into the dry, middle-eastern ground more than 2000 years ago, to say a selfish or quick prayer, without putting our hearts, minds, and souls into it.

We fail to recall that every time we pray, we are supernaturally transported from Earth and into the throne room of the Messiah and the Father. We ignore the fact that Christ's death tore the curtain away from the Holy of Holies, opening Jehovah's throne room to all who accept the gift of Grace. It is the sin of squandering the gift given us, and our inability recognizing its extraordinary and boundless power.
