“Like a refiner of silver He will sit and watch as the dross is burned away, He will purify the Levites, the Ministers of God’s, refining them like gold or silver. So That they can do their work for God with pure hearts.” Malachi 3:3 (TLB)
Gold, silver, and other precious metals are purified and refined through “The Crucible.” Under high heat, the dross, or the impurities, is burned away. By heating that metal to its weakest point, all the impurities are removed, making it much stronger and much more valuable.
When troubles come our way, our first instinct is to cry out to God to get us out of it, but the Lord has a plan for our lives and sometimes troubles are a part of them. Just as He did with the Levites. The Father is purifying each of us, burning out the impurities of sin, of wrong attitudes, of selfishness, slander, hate, rebellious children and lust for the things of this world.
Whets left, then, after our trials, and after we pass through the crucible? Right attitudes, pure hearts, and love for the Father.
The Lord has a plan for each and every one of us. Sometimes, for reasons we can’t understand, pain is a part of that plan.
God has a reason for sending troubles our way. They burn the dross out of our hearts, leaving us stronger, purer, and ready to follow the Holy Spirits direction for our lives. The Father makes no mistakes. If we only would all stem son AND obey. He has a plan for success for every one of us, but we first must be purified and strengthened.
A Holy God can not stand to even look on a sinner. But Jehovah has given us a lifeboat to Jump into. The Power and The Blood of Jesus, is to effectively serve the Master, we must shed lust, anger, jealousy, and rage. To serve The Most High, we must pass through the crucible.
