Prince Charles has just changed his vacation plans, to avoid a longer jet flight and reduce his “carbon footprint”. Everyone from the unemployed ex vice president Al Gore, producer of “An Inconvenient Truth”, to the lowest Hollywood actor with a union card, is suddenly a Climatologist. The media have jumped on the Global Warming train as eagerly as a dog follows a meat wagon. No matter where you go, there is always someone braying about “climate change”, as it is called now. Regardless of which side you are on, there is no getting away from coverage of Global Warming.
There is another, more serious, more urgent, and more deadly “Inconvenient Truth” being ignored and even ridiculed by the secular media. It is the “Inconvient Truth” of a world full of selfishness, greed, immorality, and adultery. It is the “Inconvenient Truth” of hearts full of hate, violence, and prejudice. It is the “Inconvenient Truth” of men and women hardening their hearts and closing their minds to the Good News. It is the “Inconvenientt Truth” that the Lord hates sin, and has prepared a place for those who die in rebellion to Him.
It is the “Inconvenient Truth” of God’s Judgment on the unsaved; on those who have not accepted the Messiah’s blood sacrifice. It is the “Inconvenient Truth” of standing in judgment at the Father’s throne, and feeling his white hot wrath as His Son, our Messiah, says” depart from me, I never knew you”. It is the “Inconvenient Truth” of watching the gates of Heaven slam shut in your face.
The Bible teaches us we should be good stewards with that Jehovah has entrusted us with. There is nothing wrong with fighting “Global Warming”, but we should not forget that 155,000 people will die today. Some will go to their reward. But most will be sent to Hell for payment of their sins. While we fight Global Warming, while we try to keep Earth’s temperature down, let us not ignore the rising temperatures of the inferno in Hell, which is being continually stoked, awaiting unbelievers on Judgment Day.
