
Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb, He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb, first, also went inside. He saw and believed. It had been a rough three days. The scared, crushed, and heartbroken disciples had been hiding out of the fear they would be arrested and crucified themselves. Their Master was gone, how can an eternal King die?
Brought by two women, for women were The Apostles were allowing themselves a glimmer of hope. But this news, it could not be real. Especially not considered to be reliable witnesses. But they looked into the tomb, saw no body, and saw burial clothes. Could Jesus…Could the Teacher really have…Could Christ have raised Himself from the grave after three days, fulfilling prophecies as far back as King David? How had they missed all the prophecies? How could they have walked with Jesus, how could they have just spent years learning at the feet of God Almighty?
