“The Steps of a Good Man are ordered By the Lord.” Psalm 37:23
When you watched the sunrise this morning, what were you thinking of? Were you thinking of paying the bills, that project at work that is past due or cleaning up your desk a little? Did you stop to ask God what He wanted you to do today?
Don’t you know that this day and every other day belong to the Father? The Master planned this day out, millisecond by millisecond, when He hung the stars in the sky and filled all the oceans with water. Many eons ago, Our Creator scripted and planned for each second of this day. How, then, can we be sure what our part is?
What role did God write for us to play out today? How do we fulfill our full potential and know we are walking the narrow path to Heaven, and not the wide highway to Hell? We can start out by asking the Master to reveal His will for us each day. Each morning we can ask the Father to align our purposes with His; to align our life with His will. Only then can we know, beyond any doubt, that our steps are ordered by the Lord.
Father, you know the future because you are the author of it. Let your Holy Spirit open our hearts, our minds, and our souls. Tune us to receive your plans and your will for each new day. We praise the name of Jesus, the author and finisher of it all. Amen.
