It is so easy to put on our church clothes, brush our dentist whitened church teeth, and head for church with a big smile on our face without ever asking the question that matters, “Do you really love Jesus? How can you prove you love Him?” The Bible tells us how to prove that we love Him.
How do we prove we love Jesus? By giving more than lip service to His commands! Anyone can claim to love Jesus, but if it is not backed up with action, it is mere words. If I claim to love you but ignore everything you tell me to do, than I am lying and I don’t love you. The King gives us a litmus test to prove our love; those that love Him will obey Him, those that don’t, won’t!
