Set Aside for Christ: Part I

“For by a single offering, he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified” Hebrews 10:14 (NIV)

When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, several things occur almost instantly. First, we are justified in God’s Eyes. He takes the sin debt each one of us owes, applies the cleansing blood of Jesus to it, and puts our sins into a big shredder, scattering them from the east to the west, to be brought up no more. One of Satan’s best tricks is to keep using our past against us, and tell us we are too filthy in our sins to ever be able to serve Jesus. This is a Spiritual Warfare tactic of Beelzebub’s. We must remember the Father has cleared our record, has tried us and found us not guilty because of our relationship with the Messiah.

We are also sanctified when we accept Jesus as the Lord of our life. Sanctified means that we are set aside for a specific purpose, in service of the King. Each and every one of us has been given a part to play in the Kingdom of Heaven. There is something in your life that only you can each one of us has special talents and abilities God has given us to use for his glory. We will learn how to identify these talents in Part II of Set Aside or Christ.
