Stay In Jerusalem:
Waiting for the Comforter

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you." John 14:7 (NKJV)

The Apostles are hurt and confused. Jesus is saying he must die, but, not to worry about it. It will only be temporary. They roll their eyes and scratch their heads trying to follow the statements Jesus is making. For his crushing death will be followed by the incredible joy of learning that He raised himself up again. Now He is telling them He has to go back, but says He will send a comforter to guide them from now on.

"Oh, Thomas, must you always doubt everything I say ?", asked Jesus. I have told you theses things so you want be caught off guard when He comes. And remember I warned you. I am going back to get things ready for you. Follow my teachings and I will abide in you and you in me. The comforter will guide you He will help you spread the Good News, the grave did not hold me, you serve a Risen Savior.
