“From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God.” Psalm 22:10 (NIV)
On January 22, 1973, The Supreme Court ruled that women have a constitutional right to terminate the life of their unborn children. This day marks the beginning of the American Holocaust. It literally turned the mother’s womb into the most dangerous place in America. Abortion is the intentional chopping, cutting, burning, skull collapse and/or brain removal of the unborn child to terminate its life. It is primarily used to kill completely healthy pre-born children, some nearly full term, as a form of after the fact birth control.
Courts even continue to allow the most violent and disturbing form of abortion, partial birth abortion. A doctor carefully holds the child just inside the birth canal as he collapses the head by stabbing it with surgical scissors, then using a vacuum to remove the child’s brain then delivering the mutilated body. This sounds eerily like something the Nazi’s would have done in one of their concentration camps.
Another life is ended every twenty seconds. More than the number of lives lost in the 9/11 attacks are lost daily due to abortion. The total number of deaths from abortion since 1973 is estimated at 45,500,000.
We know that abortion stops a beating heart. We know that unborn babies are constantly moving, kicking, and in the case of twins or triplets, even grabbing each other. Medical science was not nearly so advanced in 1973. Several cases may soon come before our Supreme Court. During this, “Sanctity of Human Life” month, every Christian should pray to put a stop to this bloody slaughter. The blood of the innocents cries out to God against America, as surely as the blood of Abel cried out to God against his brother, Cain. For, as the Psalmist says, God is the God of the infant in the womb.
