Our air is full of signals. Radio, television, satellite, cell phones, cordless phones, and wireless internet go under, over, and through us, and we never even know it. If we don’t have the right kind of receiver, we can’t be contacted by anyone, no matter how hard we try, we can not be reached without a receiver. The world is filled with the Love of God and the beauty of his handiwork. God has a message for each and every one of us. But you can’t just wake up one morning, take your chair up a ladder, sit on the roof and hold up a cb antenna saying” Here I am, Lord, lets talk”. Although it sounds ridiculous, this is what a non-believer does when they read the Bible and think of the mysteries of the Father’s love for us.
You can not understand the mysteries of Our Creator, the depth, and the width of his love for his creation without having Jesus in your heart and the Holy Spirit in your mind and soul. The Bible, God’s Word, is so much more than just a book. It is the collected wisdom of the Messiah from the beginning of time. But for those lacking the proper receiver, it is just words on a page. The Father is not trying to make his Word difficult to understand. He wants us to understand, to draw close to him, to visit in his throne room. The Word tells us if anyone lacks wisdom, asks the Lord, and he will generously provide some. For only then will you have the right kind of receiver to understand the Lord’s plan for your life, and to appreciate the sacrifice Christ made for us, so that we can live forever with him in Heaven.
