“Woe to them that call evil good, and good, evil, that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter, Isaiah 5:20 (NIV)
We seem to be living in the world Isaiah, the Prophet, wrote about so long ago. Purity, chastity, and virginity are the fodder for jokes. In many countries, Christian’s are tortured or killed. We can watch live sex on our computers. Kids entering High School are mocked and ridiculed for their virginity; for following the standard God set down. Most of the major media has pulled out “The Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval “on Homosexual marriage. Hollywood is slowly mainstreaming homosexual movies and television.
There are some hopeful signs. Students are banning together to organize Christ centered support groups, both in High School and in College. College groups such as Campus Crusade for Christ, and High School ones, such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes, are growing and challenging hostility to Christianity. Christians, individually, are refusing to stand silently anymore while their rights are plowed under. Thanks to some very hard work, we no longer need to check our faith at the schoolhouse door.
