Thy Will Be Done, But Can You Hurry It Up, Lord?

I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
Wait For The Lord;
Be Strong and Take Heart
And wait for the Lord.
Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

King David was surrounded by trouble everywhere he looked. But he was not concerned. He knew Jehovah would protect him. Even still, he began to get a little nervous as they drew closer. �Wait On The Lord�, thought David. That�s all I must do.

Now, if that had been king Timothy, things would have been much different. Here I am, Lord, just waiting. Hey, Father, Those guys are getting awful close. Don�t take your eye of them, lord. Hey Master, better check your sundial. I am getting a little nervous over here, Jehovah. Can you just send down some lightning and be done with it, Lord?

Out o-f all the traits a Christian should have, patience is, by far, the hardest to master. We want everything our way, at our time, on our schedule. If you, like me, are lacking in patience, ask for some from the Father who longs to give good gifts to his children.
