The Apostles were allowing themselves a glimmer of hope. But this news, it could not be real. -Especially brought by two women, why, they are not even allowed to be a witness in court! But they looked into the tomb, saw no body, saw burial clothes, and slowly began to realize the magnitude of the miracle they were witnessing.
How had they not known this? How could they have missed all Jesus said about his crucifixion? They had all learned the Scriptures. They were observant Jews, they knew the prophecy of the Messiah. Once they stopped wondering how they missed it, their thoughts turned toward what this meant.
Could Jesus...Could the Master really have...Could Christ have raised Himself from the grave after three days, fulfilling prophecies as far back as King David? Could they have just spent years learning at the feet of God Almighty?
