Are You Calling God a Liar?

He who believes in the son of God has the witness in himself, he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son." I John 2:10 (NKJV)

There are many people who believe in God but have trouble with Christ. They think that if they pray, very sincerely, through God, that it will be heard in Heaven, with or without them knowing Jesus as their counselor, redeemer, or Savior. But all they are really doing is using up oxygen, because their prayers are dying when they leave their mouths. The truth is that Christ told his followers to begin to pray in his name, to cover any problem they have. Jesus plainly states that he is the only way to the Father. For those who don't have Jesus Like a failed satellite launch, the things they ask for, the things cry to heaven about, crash and burn just as they leave the site. Chaplains are pressured to pray excluding the name of Jesus, to be more inclusive, and to celebrate "diversity."

But Jesus himself said heaven will be "exclusive" and the gates not opened each time someone shows up and explains "I was sincere in my faith, I kept the grass cut, didn't beat my wife, sent a check for $50 each year during Christmas Holidays, even though I never came to church." They hold up their shabby, dirty, soiled, and torn "Good Works" to Jesus, expecting to be let in. Like the Pharisees, they thought following God meant following a set of rules, trying to get into Heaven through our works.

They have met the World's standards, perhaps, of being a good person. They shall be shocked to realize they never crossed the bridge that led to Eternal Life. They will have the huge doors of Heaven slammed shut, right in their face, because they would not take as free gift. It doesn't have to be that way. Jesus stands nearby, longing to be let into your Heart. Don't wait until it is too late to let Him in. Christ's grace overcomes anything the World throws at us. Choose Life, Choose Christ while you still can, and put your heart at ease about your eternal destination. And stop calling God a liar.
