The history of Israel is littered with examples of Jehovah's wrath being poured out on a disobedient and sinful nation. Time after time, He used natural events or enemies to turn Israel's heart back to their first love. If the Father did not even spare His chosen people, than what might He do to other countries that turn their back on Him?
There is a major push going on in our country to normalize that which God calls an abomination. Homosexual "marriage", adoption, and rights dominate our news. A movie about a sexual relationship between two men wins award after award. A recent survey shows 51 practicing homosexual priests in the Episcopal Church. That denomination is fracturing over the appointment of an openly homosexual bishop, Eugene Robinson, who suggests that Our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, may have been a practicing homosexual engaged in sex with the Apostle John. Believers who use the Bible as the standard for what is right and what is wrong are called narrow minded and old fashioned. Opponents of the militant homosexual movement are branded "homophobic."
In his medical "ethics" class, Professor Peter Singer claims that it should be legal to abort a child up to one year of age. He says that are not really a person until then. Life is cheap. Is there any wonder why infants are born in toilets and thrown into dumpsters? From stem cells to cloning, medical science, under the ethical guidance of the Professor Singers of the world, marches on much faster than we can assess the morality of the advances. Sperm banks provide children for those who want a fatherless family or a single mother who has no time for a man. You can start a family from a freezer with your girlfriend/partner/"wife" with almost no male involvement.
Meanwhile, our country allows the wholesale slaughter of healthy unborn children as a birth control method. Even the most disturbing form of abortion, partial birth abortion, in which the infant is killed by the opening of it's head with surgical scissors and vacuuming out the baby's brain, while the Doctor carefully holds the child back a few inches from delivery, remains legal in the United States. Eleven year old girls who can not get an aspirin without parental permission are given abortions without any parental knowledge. Unborn children that God breathed life into are sucked down sinks, burned with saline, and thrown out with other "medical waste." The cries of pain of these innocent children have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.
The internet, along with cable and satellite television, has brought into the home filth and perversions of every kind. Homosexuality, unnatural sex acts that should not be described, and even child pornography is available with a few keystrokes. Depraved sex acts that would have made the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah vomit are piped in to your den and bedroom.
Moral relativism is becoming the belief system of many, replacing the black and white, right and wrong morality of God's Word. Adherents claim there is no absolute right or wrong, only shades of gray. As in the Days of Noah, every man does that which is right in his own heart. Christians are labeled as intolerant, simple minded, Bible thumping hypocrites for being so old fashioned as to believe a book of myths and fairytales.
Like Israel, we have turned our backs on the Father. Their idols were of gold and wood. Ours are of money, celebrity, and fame. Although ours are different, we are just as wrong as Israel was and the Living God is just as angry at us for forgetting Him and His laws.
Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian values. The Founders boldly proclaimed our basic, inalienable rights derived from God, not the government. We honored the Master on our money, and in our courtrooms and schools. The Lord blessed and protected the United States because we honored and feared Jehovah. The government now bans prayer in schools, orders crosses and nativity scenes removed, and force us to pay for blasphemous art, such as a cross in a bottle of urine.
The fearsome wrath of an angry Creator is looming over this country. Society is casually accepting things that were once considered sins. As Jesus predicted, in the last days, churches are being polluted with all kinds of false doctrine. Our country has never been more out of step with what Jehovah wants. In Hebrews, we are warned that "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God." Like many kings of Israel, unless we stop our sins and pray for the lord of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to heal our land, we will soon fall under the white hot wrath and angry judgment of a vengeful Lord whose patience has run out.
