Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6. (NIV)
Many people say that all faiths lead to God, or the different faiths are different roads to heaven. What matters is being sincere in your beliefs. Christians and those who claim an exclusive way to the Lord and heaven are being "narrow minded." People say that surely Our Father with let "good" people in if they have lived "good" lives and helped others. But Jesus teaches we are not good, not any of us! We are all rotting and decaying inside as sin eats away at us like a cancer.
I make no apology for standing on what God has written in His Scriptures. Jesus clearly teaches that He is the only way into Heaven. He is saying you can not go around Him to get into heaven, you must go through Him. Just because this generation, which holds to no universal standards of right and wrong, doesn't like it doesn't change that is a fact. The Messiah did not come to earth to preach political correctness. He came to save souls from Hell. Our Deliverer stands at the gates of heaven, ready to let you in, if you have accepted His offer of eternal life. He will claim you, He will confess you before the Father and angels if you have honored and confessed Him before men. Your reservation is confirmed if you have honored Him and the blood he spilled for you.
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." Proverbs 14:12 (NIV) If you have gone your own way, walked your own road, answered to no one, been captain of your own ship and foolishly thought it didn't matter, Jesus stands there to slam the gate shut right in your face and lock you out for all eternity. If you foolishly insulted the Messiah by not accepting His payment of your sins, His death in your place, and not honoring the blood sacrifice He made for you, He stands ready to close the gates of His Kingdom and bar you from it for all eternity.
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV)
Will you follow the crowds, those that walk that wide highway to destruction? Or will you be one of the few that Jesus claims for His own, those that find their way to the narrow gate? God has given the choice and allowed you make your own decision, but don't make the fatal mistake of living like it makes no difference; don't believe the foolishness of those who teach there are many roads to heaven.
