Exchanging Good For Evil

"Woe to them that call evil good, and good, evil, that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter, Isaiah 5:20 (NIV)

We seem to be living in the world Isaiah, the Prophet, wrote about so long ago. Purity, chastity, and virginity are the fodder for jokes. In many countries, Christian's are tortured or killed. We can watch live sex on our computers. Kids entering High School are mocked and ridiculed for their virginity; for following the standard God set down. Most of the major media has pulled out "The Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval" for Homosexual marriage. Hollywood is slowly mainstreaming homosexual movies and television.

We are not only living in a post-Christian era, we are living in a post-morality era. There is no longer universal right or universal wrong. It is all about, like in the Bible "everyone doing what is right in their own eyes". People are filling their lives with adultery, fornication, alcohol, illegal drugs, and gambling. They want to do what "feels good". Teen mothers and fathers are becoming normalized. Christian pastors are smashing their churches and ministries against the rocky coast of sexual misconduct and pornography.

Babies are born in bathrooms and left to die in toilets and dumpsters. I think it is entirely possible that God, who has blessed this country since it was founded, may withdraw that blessing, if we don't, starting with our leaders, humble ourselves and ask him to heal our land.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
